Our solution to the mental health crisis at our school was a survey consisting of varying questions that would allow the school, provided we received enough responses, to alter their approach on tackling students' mental health. We received about 75 responses. More detailed documentation found in the Work-In-Progress tab.

Birthday Breadboarding:

Last year, I completed a project that allowed me to work with breadboards and wiring.

I was able to create a system that displays my birthdate using LED lights. I do not remember the exact name of the project, but it basically was "Breadboarding Birthday Display." Starting from scratch, we used logic gates and wiring to create a logic circuit that displays the correct numbers in the correct spaces. This project was difficult and time consuming, but very inspiring and motivating.

Seeing that I could make a circuit like that further deepened my interest in engineering. (Actual project not depicted to the right. It serves as an example for what the breadboard looks like.)

Another project I completed last year was Ethics in Engineering, a PowerPoint presentation that overviewed a case study and its ethical implications. This project was an opportunity to delve into another side of engineering and understand that creating a solution is not always easy.
